I&#8217;m not sure what it is I love about retro kitchen stuff, maybe how it reminds me of my grandmas kitchens and the times I have spent with them there.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">My friend Jamie had sent me a link to these <a href=\"http:\/\/www.marthastewart.com\/photogallery\/family-history-in-the-making-darcys-frames-and-scrapboxes?lpgview=thumb&amp;showComments=true#ms-global-breadcrumbs\" target=\"_blank\">shadow box frames<\/a> on Martha Stewart&#8230;.I thought it would be a fun way to display some vintage items. The shadow box displays on Martha&#8217;s site are by Darcy Miller. They are beautiful. I wish I had the wall space to create tons of them, but I don&#8217;t&#8230;.you really should go check them out.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Here&#8217;s a little tutorial for you on how I made mine:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><strong>Supplies<\/strong>: (frame from Hobby Lobby, picture from <a href=\"http:\/\/www.etsy.com\/shop\/Jackierueda\" target=\"_blank\">Jackie Rueda<\/a>, other items from antique stores)<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-4594\" title=\"4.10shadowbox-01\" alt=\"\" src=\"http:\/\/ashleyannphotography.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/04\/4.10shadowbox-01.jpg\" width=\"895\" height=\"742\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.ashleyannphotography.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/04\/4.10shadowbox-01.jpg 895w, https:\/\/www.ashleyannphotography.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/04\/4.10shadowbox-01-300x248.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 895px) 100vw, 895px\" \/><\/p>\n<p><strong>Step 1<\/strong>: Cover the velvet background with scrapbooking paper&#8230;if you get a 12&#215;12 frame, the 12&#215;12 paper is a perfect fit<\/p>\n<p><strong>Step 2<\/strong>: Using masking tape, tape down vintage trim. You could pin it down too.
