  • Liz Roemer - Praise the Lord! But my heart breaks seeing her in your arms…praying for a swift and smooth recovery!

  • Jennifer Lam - Wow – you two look exactly like me and my son after his palate surgery – little swollen mouth and all. They are so delicate, but so resilient. She will be smiling and kissing again soon. With a different mouth, but also wonderful. We didn’t have our little guy before his lip repair so I didn’t have to go through that, but we have some photos of him that the SWI gave us and appreciate his adorableness “before” as well as “after”.

  • Julie - So thankful for Little One’s successful surgery! Just last night my 10 year old son was praying for the children with ‘cleft’. I’m not sure where he learned about it or if he had been reading your blog over my shoulder. When I asked him about it he said “I’m just against cleft. When I grow up I’m going to fight it.” I hope this little guy does grow up and ‘fight’ cleft.
We will keep praying for Little One and the rest of the Campbells!

  • lauren - continuing to send my most positive thoughts! 🙂 *

  • Shannon - Reading about her surgery, and how you feel about it, brings tears to my eyes! I remember taking my son to the surgery for his circumcision. Of course not the same as yours but similar in ways. He had to have the surgery because it was done later than usual. I knew it needed to be done for his health, but taking him to the hospital broke my heart. I’m so glad this first one is over for you and you can move on to hugging and healing.

  • Kimberley Stott - I have only recently discovered your blog and never commented on a blog before. You have a beautiful family and I realize that you are going through a stressful time right now with your youngest. I was so touched by some of your recent posts that I brought my 11 year old daughter to the computer to read them. After reading and looking at your photos she suggested that we should pray for all of you during the coming weeks. You are raising compassionate children who will grow up and change the world someday – thank you for sharing your story. Our prayers and hearts are with you. I think your daughter’s smile was beautiful too but I look forward to seeing photos of her new smile – it will be just as beautiful. Peace to all of you, Kimberley

  • Sophie - I’m glad it all went well 🙂 I hope you’re baby recovers quickly and is back to her smiley old self again 🙂 God bless.

    amazing blog, amazing mom.
Although I don’t think I ever “forget” how it must impact the parents, the emotion of it can wane but things like these remind me how much this really means on the visceral level.
    thanks Jody!
    see you soon.
