mother of the groom

You’ve seen Father of the Bride, right? One of my all time favorite movies.

Growing up I did not have a basketball goal. I grew up with a sister. We are both short. I was a gymnast. Our driveway was steep….no basketball goal. I remember seeing this movie and thinking, I’m going to have a basketball goal when I have kids. Well last year we got our goal and the boys are finally starting to really get into it. I’m looking forward to some one on one games with each of them as they grow through the years.

I played with several of my lenses while they were playing with their dad. You’ll notice all the settings are the same but the focal length changes (that is the number in front of the “mm”)

ISO 100, f/3.2, 1/800 200mm – ISO 100, f/3.2, 1/800 50mm
2.12basketball-1

ISO 100, f/3.2, 1/800 200mm – ISO 100, f/3.2, 1/800 50mm (I really wish I didn’t crop him at his knees)
2.12basketball-3

ISO 100, f/3.2, 1/800 50mm – ISO 100, f/3.2, 1/800 50mm
2.12basketball-5

ISO 100, f/3.2, 1/800 135mm – ISO 100, f/3.2, 1/800 28mm
2.12basketball-7

What I didn’t think about when I was dreaming of a basketball was how little boys smell after they play. Not so dreamy.
