diy {layered paper bookmark}

This week is Teacher Appreciation Week…I thought I’d share a couple of ideas in case you are looking for something to give the phenomenal teachers in your life. The first is just a simple book marker to go along with a book, magazine or maybe a bookstore giftcard.

To make the bookmark I used pages from an old book (one that I use just for crafts…not a classic don’t worry ๐Ÿ™‚ ). I cut 4 pages to be 2 inches wide. I used double sided tape to tape the pages together with a ribbon in between pages 2 & 3. So in the end I had 4 layers of paper and a ribbon in the middle.

Next I used random craft supplies to add layers: masking tape, scrapbook paper, baker’s twine, paper doily & initial stamp.

Earlier this week one of my projects was featured on Skip To My Lou as part of a Teacher’s Appreciation Series.
